House Church Liturgy | Feb. 26th | First Sunday of Lent


FIRST SUNDAY OF LENT


ACT ONE | Bread & Cup

Assign someone from the House Church Community to lead communion. You can share something impacting you about the Lords Supper, or share a scripture/word for the moment, or simply read 1 Corinthians 11v22-26.


ACT TWO | Feast

Communion is primarily a feast of shared food within the community of Jesus followers. Continue communion as you eat and share life together together.

  • Invite a kid or student in your House Church to pray for the meal


ACT THREE | Prayers

Gather in a common space in the house and read aloud together:

"The Lords Prayer"

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

Amen.

ACT FIVE | One Another

Give some space for prayer, encouragement, and edification (1 Co. 14v26, Jm. 5v16, 1 Th. 5v11).

Receive the Lord's blessing as you are released into your ministry this week

Numbers 6v24-26

The Lord bless you and keep you;

the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
