  • Next All Gathering: 4:30 PM Sunday, November 2nd at Westside Church (7300 Stockdale Hwy) for our regular rhythm of worship, prayer, and teaching and taking the Bread & Cup as House Church communities. This month will be a special one - River & Way students will be leading us in worship.

    As always, we look forward to spending time as a community around the table after our gathering. We'll be in the gym for the meal that evening. Please feel welcome to stick around for dinner and enjoy some tacos🌮! ($5 per person, with a max of $20 per family to help cover costs).


  • This Advent, our featured “artists” are the kids of River & Way! We’re inviting all children ages 4 and up to be part of a simple, beautiful retelling of the birth of Jesus through song and narration at our Advent Gathering on Sunday, December 21st.

    We’ll hold a short Info Meeting after the November 2nd All Gathering during the start of the taco meal. Parents and kids can come hear what the program will look like, get song materials, and learn about rehearsal dates.

    A few short rehearsals will take place in early December (details coming soon). Older kids are also encouraged to help lead, serve behind the scenes, or assist with directing.

    This is a meaningful way for our kids to share the story of Christmas and create something together as a community.

  • This Advent, we’ll gather each Sunday evening to reflect on the mystery of the Incarnation - God entering creation and dwelling among us.

    Through scripture reading, songs, prayer, and art, we’ll walk together through John 1 and the wonder of Christ’s coming.

    Gatherings begin Sunday, November 30 at 6:00 PM at A1 Acres and continue each week through December 21, with a shared potluck meal on the final evening.

  • The Tuesday Night Ministry meets every Tuesday evening outdoors on the grounds of The Mission at Kern County, 816 East 21st Street. This ministry began over 30 years ago at one church, but God has turned it into a Body of Christ ministry with multiple churches and groups involved. A short message begins at 6:30 PM with dinner set up and serving beginning at 7:00 PM. Everyone is invited to serve, including families with children. We are also looking for those called to do worship from 6:00-6:30 PM on those evenings.

    Be aware that we will be outdoors from 6:30-8:00 PM, so dress accordingly.

What an incredible Eastertide season we’ve shared together! We’ve raised palms in anticipation, celebrated resurrection hope, and rejoiced with those stepping into new life through baptism. We love the story God is writing in our midst.
This Sunday, April 27 at 4:30 PM at Westside Church We’re celebrating new life in Jesus as several in our community are baptized. Can’t wait to gather, worship, and rejoice together.

Palm Sunday Hike — April 13 at 10:00 AM 
We’re beginning Holy Week with a short, reflective hike at Wind Wolves Preserve. As we walk, we’ll remember Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem and pause to reflect on the kind of King He is.
A lot is happening this April at River & Way. We’ll celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on Easter, witness baptisms, take a hike to remember His triumphal entry on Palm Sunday, and gather before returning to our regular House Church rhythm
